At 24 September 2017, I entered
the school club “Young Entrepreneurs”. It’s school club where we produce a
product for a social benefit. Every year students attend the local competition
and exhibit their final projects. My CAS project involves of creativity and
service. This year, after a challenging process, we selected the concept:
office and home, and designed 2 products. Our products “clips” and “BookEra”
aims to fulfill the responses and needs of office employees.
For service, we designed multi
products and donate the money that we gained through our sales to a local
charity. For creativity, on behalf of my department, I designed and sketched
the products.
I am talented and quite knowledgeable
about drawing and designing. So, while we are dividing to departments at the
end of the year, I was placed at the head of the design department. We were a
model company where we also have a general director. I always helped my friends
while we were discussing the new innovations and ideas to find solutions. I’m a
creative person, therefore I’m talented to find new solutions to problems. This
helps me while designing.
While we were developing the
product, there were of course some challenges. Adapting to teamwork was hard,
because some people weren’t aware of any design issue and just defending their selves,
at the end we agreed upon on the same ground. Another skill that I developed
was my communication skills. There were another department called “communication
and guest relations department.” People who are selected to there were successful
at both verbal and sign-communication. This school club taught me how to
communicate and use effective language to sell our product.
On the other hand, there were
of course benefits of working collaboratively. Since everyone wasn’t perfect at
a single topic, everyone was asking things to one another and consulting to our
head manager.
I highly showed commitment and
perseverance to this CAS Project. I continued involving it at least 1 year and
still actively in the alumni-team of organization, so it has been 1 year and 5
months. Every Wednesday, at the club lesson times of school, we were meeting
and discussing on our agenda topic. Other than school time, at weekends, we
were meeting and executing our meetings with sponsors and authorities. Still, I’ve
been attending to Young Entrepreneurs Alumni Meetings.
